Use of tourist facilities supported and promoted by the Mazovian Voivodeship Local Government and weekend tourism in Mazovia
The report presents the results of the second edition of the study entitled Use of tourist facilities supported and promoted by the Mazovian Voivodeship Self-Government and weekend tourism in Mazovia, conducted
by the Mazovian Regional Planning Office in Warsaw in 2019. Its first edition was carried out at the turn of 2015/2016 and concerned the year 2014. The study used 3 research methods, i.e. analysis of foundational data, consisting in the analysis of available materials (including reports, studies – for more information, see the chapter “Analysis of foundational data (desk research)”), a CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interview) online survey and an IDI (Individual In-depth Interview). The CAWI survey polled 69 respondents representing tourist facilities in the Mazovia region, while the IDI survey polled 23 facilities (both listed in the Appendix of this paper).
Analysis of the data from both stages showed a difference between the months most frequently visited by tourists on weekends. In 2018, these were April, July and September, while in 2014 they were May, July and August.
The highest demand for tourist offerings occurs between April and September, and this applies to both tourism in general and weekend tourism.
