Analysis of tourism traffic in the Mazovian Voivodeship in 2013-2015
This document is a report on “Analysis of tourism traffic in the Mazovian Voivodeship in 2013-2015,” which was conducted
based on three types of research: a primary survey on more than 300 tourism economy entities operating in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship (N=305,
CAWI and CATI method), secondary data survey (desk research method) and qualitative research (FGI – Focus Group Interview method).
The purpose of the “Analysis” was to obtain answers to a number of research questions, including the main question:
How did tourism in the Mazovian Voivodeship evolve in 2013-2015? In order to answer it, data was collected and analyzed
concerning, among other things: the number of domestic and foreign tourists, the structure of tourist traffic, changes in accommodation, the seasonality of tourist traffic, the share of weekend tourism,
image of the region, and tourist attractions such as museums and mass events. Depending on the phenomenon under study, data are presented in the form of
tables, charts or maps and include a breakdown by 8 sub-regions (NUTS 3) or 42 counties of the Mazovian Voivodeship.
